Like any coastal area on the pacific, Oregon could get hit with a Tsunami. Maps have been prepared for the citizens of Oregon to be more knowledgeable and better prepared. These are nice big maps in PDF form that are interesting to study and based upon USGS TOPO maps.
Take a look at the maps and note that a Tsunami can be large or small. For example, Japan was not expecting 124 foot high waves to hit some areas like they did on March 11th 2011. Plan accordingly for higher than might be commonly expected. Know how to get to higher ground for all the areas you spend much time in that are at risk.
"There are many faults off shore, yet even an Earthquake over 1000 miles away can cause a Tsunami that can strike our shores "
