If you have not seen the live web cam yet, check it out, day or night. Although there is a LOT more see by day. It took some real effort to get this cam going and we want to thank everyone for all the help.
"The camera is currently used as a weather and lake cam"
To make this happen we had to move a cable modem which meant also moving about 60 feet of cable. We also needed to update the router with open source DD-WRT firmware. See our DD-WRT article

In addition, we had to mount the camera and provide cat5 and power. The technical setup was challenging as our IP is not static which means the IP changes each time the modem reboots. Additionally we have an OOMA between the router and cable modem. See our OOMA article
The camera was up on a rare snow day here as seen in the image above. We have added a link at the bottom of the site that links to the cam and we also added the web cam to the navigation menu under news/weather. Because the cam uses java to display on the page we felt it best to have the cam on it's own special page. You might need to update to the current version of Java to see the cam. Your browser might also ask if you want to run the applet or application or approve of the security to run the cam. Since Java is loading off the Sun (TM) Java web site (java.sun.com) rather than VitalBodies, this is normal.
